Transforming self-worth - One step at a time.
Body Image
At CJ Therapeutic Productions, we believe that working on the relationship you have with your body is a powerful journey toward self-acceptance and empowerment. Through compassionate therapy, honouring and accepting all feelings about your body, recognising that each person's experience is unique. Our approach encourages a safe space to explore these feelings, whether they're rooted in discomfort, dissatisfaction, or even love. We support you in understanding and your body.

Developing a Body Image
Many people find their lives diminished by deeply negative views of themselves. These harmful self-narratives can be incredibly difficult to shift, often becoming ingrained over time. Issues of confidence and identity are closely intertwined, and the roots of these struggles are often traced back to early experiences in the family origin. In addition, traumatic interactions with peers during adolescences can further reinforce or even create these negative self-perceptions.

We understand the complexity of these issues and are here to help you rebuild a positive sense of self- offering support in navigating these challenging narratives and creating empowering beliefs about who you are.
Towards Acceptance
We deliver therapy using a well-researched, experiential approach, grounded in attachment theory and supported by evidence from pilot studies and ongoing research. We explore the emotional complexities of eating. We guide clients through understanding that eating is not about hunger and address how eating can be used to manage feelings. Sessions explore self-esteem, body esteem, and the emotional relationship with food, offering a safe space to examine and gently consider these patterns.
Continuing commitment to therapy involves deepening this exploration, helping individuals gain insight into emotional eating, thoughts, feelings, motivation, self-nurture, and the impact of relationships on eating behaviours. These sessions provide tools for empowerment, food monitoring, and building healthier attitudes toward self-care and physical activity.
